One Life, Many Lives

In One Life, Many Lives Piero Rivolta looks to the past while offering keen observations and insight into world affairs. Wistful musings triggered by a visit to his childhood home in Italy, reactions to September 11, and appreciation for natural surroundings, alternate with lyric poems that celebrate love, art, music and other ephemeral pleasures.

Peppered with Piero’s private photographs, One Life, Many Lives is a pensive awareness of and sense of regret that time is slipping away but there is also a deep appreciation for what is best in humanity and reminders of the eternal truths that govern earthly existence.

One Life, Many Lives received an Honorable Mention for Poetry at the Southern California Book Festival and the New England Book Festival.  The collection was also named Winner in the Genre-Based Category at the Paris Book Festival, and honored as an Award-Winning Finalist in the Poetry Category of the International Book Awards.

The writings in the book appear in both Italian and English, on facing pages. Published in 2013 by New Chapter Publisher.
